We took off from Shoreham flying north and climbed to 3000ft. As we approached
Burgess Hill contacted the tower at Gatwick to let them know what we were
doing and we were also made AWARE of the 2500 LTMA which we would have obviously
infringed had we not descended to 2000 feet. The warning disappeared and we
continued flying N when we were again warned of the approaching Gatwick CTA
(1500 - 2500) descending to 1000 ft we were told by the Tower at Gatwick that
we could enter the CTR zone SFC - 2000 by which time the Aware was flashing
and beeping at us. Thanking Gatwick we reurned to Shoreham thoroughly impressed.
If you want one we can get a discount if there are sufficient takers. Contact
Geoff on 07752 220049 by end of August.
